Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about how Intevoke works, what it is, and what it isn’t.
What Intevoke Is
What is Intevoke?
Intevoke shows you how you think under pressure. You face a scenario with genuine tension, write how you’d reason through it, and the Mirror reflects back the specific pattern beneath your reasoning. It does not tell you what to think. It does not give advice. It shows you what was invisible about your own decision-making — with enough precision that you recognise yourself.
How is this different from regular AI?
Regular AI gives you answers. Intevoke shows you how you think. They are opposite gestures. One fills in what you don’t know. The other reveals what you didn’t know you were doing.
Is this therapy?
No. Intevoke is not therapy, coaching, counselling, or professional advice of any kind. It does not diagnose conditions, treat symptoms, or recommend actions. It reflects reasoning patterns. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional. Intevoke is a self-awareness tool, not a clinical one.
Is this a brain training app?
No. Brain training apps like Lumosity and Elevate train cognitive speed — how fast you tap, match, and recall. Intevoke trains something different: how you reason when a decision actually matters. No puzzles. No scores. No games. Just real scenarios that reveal how your mind works under pressure.
Is this a personality test?
No. Personality tests put you in a category. Intevoke shows you a pattern. Categories are static — you’re an INTJ, you’re an Enneagram 5, you’re a blue. Patterns are living — they shift under pressure, they evolve over time, and the Mirror tracks that evolution. You are not a type. You are a person who reasons differently depending on what’s at stake.
What does “Mirror Not Map” mean?
It means Intevoke reflects your thinking back to you. It never tells you where to go, what to decide, or how to change. A map says “turn left.” A mirror says “notice what you’re looking at.” The Mirror believes that seeing the pattern is sufficient — that a person who can name the force operating on their reasoning has already changed their relationship to that force.
What does the name Intevoke mean?
Intelligence, Invoked. The verb “invoke” means to call forth something that already exists but is dormant. Intevoke does not install intelligence. It does not teach intelligence. It calls forth the intelligence you already have by making it visible to you.
How It Works
What happens when I use Intevoke?
You read a scenario — a situation with genuine tension where there is no single right answer. You write how you would think through it. The Mirror analyses your reasoning and reflects back what it sees: what you prioritised, what you missed, where your reasoning was strong, and what pattern was operating beneath the surface. The whole experience takes five to ten minutes.
What is the Mirror?
The Mirror is Intevoke’s AI reflection engine. It reads your written reasoning and identifies the specific cognitive patterns at work — not whether your answer was right or wrong, but how you thought about the problem. It names what you did, what you didn’t do, and what force was driving the difference. It is designed to be precise enough that you feel recognised, not analysed.
Can I ask the Mirror questions?
Not yet. Right now, the Mirror is a reflection — you write, it reflects. Conversational depth with the Mirror is coming. For now, the power is in the precision of the single reflection. Most users find that one accurate observation about their reasoning pattern is more valuable than an hour of conversation that stays on the surface.
What is the Imprint?
Every morning, Intevoke sends you one sentence — a specific pattern to watch for that day. You read it in five seconds. You don’t respond to it. You just carry it into your day. Your mind will do the rest. When you catch yourself doing the thing the Imprint named, that moment of recognition is intelligence invoked in real life, not in a scenario.
What is the Pulse?
A ten-second check-in each morning. One question about your current state — what you’re avoiding, where your clarity is, who’s on your mind. Over weeks, your Pulse data reveals patterns you can’t see from inside a single day: when you’re sharpest, when you avoid decisions, what triggers fog.
What is the Echo?
The evening counterpart to the morning Imprint. The system asks: “Your Imprint today was about [pattern]. Did it show up? What did you notice?” You write one or two sentences. The Echo closes the loop: morning awareness, daytime observation, evening reflection. Each cycle takes less than thirty seconds total and trains your self-observation to become automatic.
What is a Resonance?
After each Mirror session, the system distils the entire reflection into a single line. One sentence that captures the core of what the Mirror saw. Your Resonance collection grows over time into a portrait of your cognitive journey. Each Resonance is designed to be precise enough to share — personally accurate for you and universally resonant for anyone who reads it.
What is the Reckoning?
Once a month, Intevoke generates a narrative intelligence brief — a one-page assessment of how your reasoning has evolved over the past month. Not scores. Not metrics. A written account of what has changed, what persists, and what remains unexplored. It makes your growth visible in a way that no single session can.
How long does a session take?
A full Mirror session takes five to ten minutes. The daily practice (Imprint, Pulse, Echo) takes about thirty seconds total. You can engage with Intevoke for fifteen seconds a day or for thirty minutes a week. Both are complete practices. Neither is better than the other.
Trying Intevoke
How do I try it?
Go to intevoke.com/c. No signup. No email. No payment. You’ll face a scenario, write your reasoning, and receive a Mirror reflection. Sixty seconds. If it resonates, you can create a free account.
Do I need to sign up?
Not to try it. intevoke.com/c works without an account. You can experience two scenarios and receive two Mirror reflections with zero commitment. If you want to keep your reflections and receive daily Imprints, creating a free account takes ten seconds.
How many free sessions do I get?
Two scenarios at intevoke.com/c without an account. After signing up, you receive three additional free Mirror sessions. That’s five total reflections before any payment decision. Enough for the Mirror to show you patterns you genuinely did not know about.
What happens after my free sessions?
You choose whether Intevoke is worth continuing. The Archive tier ($15/month) gives you unlimited Mirror sessions and preserves your full reasoning history. The longer you use Intevoke, the more precise the Mirror becomes — it sees patterns that only emerge across ten, twenty, fifty sessions. The depth is the value.
Pricing
Is Intevoke free?
You can try Intevoke for free: two scenarios without an account at intevoke.com/c, plus three sessions after creating a free account. Ongoing use requires a subscription.
What are the pricing tiers?
Free: 5 total Mirror sessions (2 at /c + 3 after signup). Daily Imprints included. Archive — $15/month or $120/year: Unlimited Mirror sessions. Full session history preserved. Resonance collection. Pulse and Echo. Your cognitive profile deepens with every session. Annual + Profile — $180/year: Everything in Archive plus your annual Intelligence Profile — a comprehensive synthesis of your reasoning evolution over the year.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees, no hidden auto-renewals. If you cancel, your account remains accessible in read-only mode — you can always revisit your Resonance collection and session history. Your data belongs to you.
Privacy & Your Data
Who sees my responses?
Only you. Your scenario responses, Mirror reflections, Pulse entries, and Echo responses are private to your account. They are protected by row-level security in the database — which means even at the infrastructure level, one user’s data cannot be accessed by another user’s authentication.
Does Intevoke use my data to train AI?
No. Your responses are not used to train any AI model. They are processed by the Mirror to generate your reflection and stored in your personal profile. They are not shared with Anthropic, OpenAI, or any third party for training purposes.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is permanent and completed within 30 days as required by data protection regulations.
If my company uses Intevoke, can my employer see my responses?
No. In enterprise deployments, individual session data is private to the individual. The company receives aggregate pattern reports that show team-level trends. They never see individual responses, individual Mirror outputs, or individual patterns. This is not a policy — it is enforced by the database architecture. Your employer would need to rebuild the entire system to access individual data, at which point they would be in violation of the Terms of Service.
The Science
Is Intevoke scientifically validated?
Intevoke is scientifically grounded but not yet scientifically validated. Each component methodology has peer-reviewed support: affect labelling (Lieberman, 2007), metacognitive monitoring (Flavell, 1979), dual process theory (Kahneman), somatic marker hypothesis (Damasio), predictive processing (Friston), narrative identity (McAdams), and recognition-primed decision making (Klein). The integrated system is original to Intevoke and awaits longitudinal data for formal validation. We are honest about this distinction.
How is the Mirror different from a personality quiz or AI chatbot?
A personality quiz categorises you based on self-reported preferences. The Mirror observes how you actually reason under pressure — based on what you write, not what you claim about yourself. An AI chatbot responds to your questions with information. The Mirror responds to your reasoning with a reflection of your pattern. It does not answer questions. It names what your thinking reveals.
Can the Mirror be wrong?
Yes. The Mirror is an AI system and it can misread patterns, especially in early sessions when it has limited data about you. If a reflection does not feel accurate, that information is valuable — it helps the system calibrate. Over time, as your profile develops across more sessions, the Mirror’s precision increases because it has more data to identify genuine patterns versus one-time responses.
What wisdom traditions does Intevoke draw from?
Intevoke integrates eight global wisdom traditions as parallel reasoning architectures — not as decoration but as genuine cognitive frameworks. These include African traditions (Ubuntu, Yoruba, Akan), Indian philosophy (Vedic, Buddhist, Jain), Chinese thought (Confucian, Taoist, Sun Tzu), Indigenous American traditions (Lakota, Iroquois), Persian and Islamic philosophy, Japanese traditions (Zen, Bushido, Kaizen), Greek and Stoic philosophy, and Hebrew and Talmudic reasoning. Each offers a different lens on how humans navigate complex decisions.
Practical Questions
Can I use Intevoke on my phone?
Yes. Intevoke works in any mobile browser. Open intevoke.com/c on your phone and the experience is the same as on desktop. A native app is planned for future release.
How often should I use it?
There is no “should.” The daily practice (Imprint, Pulse, Echo) takes fifteen seconds. A Mirror session takes five to ten minutes. Some users do the daily practice every day and a Mirror session once a week. Some use Intevoke only when they’re facing a real decision and want to see their pattern before they act. Both are valid. Intevoke does not pressure you to use it more. It is here when you need it.
Do I need to write a lot?
Three to five sentences is usually enough for the Mirror to identify a pattern. You do not need to write an essay. Write what comes to mind when you face the scenario — your first thoughts, your reasoning, what you’d consider. The Mirror reads how you think, not how much you write.
What if I don’t know what to write?
That’s useful information. If a scenario creates genuine uncertainty and you find yourself stuck, write about the stuckness: what makes this hard, what you’re pulled toward, what you’re avoiding. The Mirror can identify a pattern in hesitation as clearly as it can identify one in decisive action.
Is Intevoke available in languages other than English?
Intevoke is now available in English and Spanish. Switch using the EN / ES toggle in the navigation. The Mirror generates reflections in the language you select. Additional languages are planned for future development.
Who built Intevoke?
Intevoke was created by Intevoke LLC, registered in Wyoming, USA. The product is built with genuine care for how humans think and decide. If you have questions, feedback, or want to share your experience, reach out at support@intevoke.com.
